You can use the sun as a summer home decoration and as a crochet toy (you can insert the safety eyes or embroider them and to add a smile) 

The sun is approximately 7 cm / 2,7“ if you use yarn weight sport or DK and 2 mm hook. You can see the sun made of sport yarn in my hand in the picture.
The size may change if you use a different weight yarn.
 
Materials
1. Cotton yarn weight sport or DK: yellow
2. Crochet hook 2 mm
3. Yarn needle
4. Scissors
5. Stuffing

About pattern
Skill level: Beginner / Intermediate

This pattern is written in American terms:
MR – magic ring
ch – chain stitch
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
invdec – invisible decrease (2 stitches together through front loops)
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
sts- stitches
(…)* – repeat the space in brackets the given number of times
FO (Fasten off) – 1 sl st to the next stitch, tighten it
FO invisibly (Fasten off invisibly) – insert the end of yarn into a tapestry needle, then insert the needle into the front loop of each st of the last round, pull tight to close the hole and weave in the yarn end.

Circle

Round 1: 6 sc in MR (12)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: 12 inc (24)
Round 4: 24 sc (24)
Round 5: (1 sc, 1 inc)*12 (36)
Round 6-8 (3 rounds): 36 sc (36)
Round 9: (1 sc, 1 invdec)*12 (24)
Round 10: 24 sc (24)
Stuff it tightly.
Round 11: 12 invdec (12)
Round 12: 6 invdec, FO invisibly, cut yarn, leaving a tail to tighten the middle (6)
 
Sunbeam  (6)
Use yellow color.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Round 2: (1 inc, 2 sc)*2 (8)
Round 3: 8 sc (8)
Round 4: (1 inc, 3 sc)*2 (10)
Stuff it tightly. FO, cut yarn, leaving a tail to sew it to the circle.
Make 5 or 6 pieces.

You can now sew the sunbeams to the circle.
